Global Fire Fighters Germany as a humanitarian aid project

Global Fire Fighters Germany is a humanitarian aid project founded by fire protection engineer Jürgen Sprengel and fire testing engineer Harald Schillegger.

The two passionate firefighters have set themselves the goal of supporting fire departments in South America and Southeast Asia with equipment and training over the coming years. They draw on more than ten years of experience in countries such as Greece, Vietnam, and Malaysia.

The journey will take place in a specially modified expedition truck, which serves both as an emergency vehicle and as a platform for seminars and training. The vehicle will face extreme weather conditions and the toughest terrain over more than 120,000 kilometers, requiring exceptional reliability and availability of the fire-fighter truck over an extended period.

The question the two asked was: “Who can equip us with measurement technology for a vehicle that can withstand these conditions?” The answer was quickly found: promesstec GmbH in Schüttorf.

The truck was promptly equipped with sensors for monitoring diesel and water tank levels, temperature measurement technology for the engine and transmission, a touch panel in the cabin, and custom-developed software. This spring, the team will embark on the long journey. We wish them much success and a safe trip!
