“We make robust” is our guiding principle. We put this to the test for our customers by subjecting our products to the most demanding real-world trials. As a rule, we repeatedly test our new and proven products, assemblies, and components in our lab and/or in field trials with our clients.
Over the past few years, however, we’ve learned: “Nothing is tougher than nature.” That’s why we conduct highly unusual product tests and equip expeditions with our products, allowing us to test them under extreme natural conditions. We are supported by expedition leaders Burkhard and Sabine Koch, two globetrotters who have traveled all continents for many years. In 2007, we outfitted their first expedition truck for a two-year tour of Africa. The specialized truck, called the “Pistenkuh,” is designed for weeks of self-sufficient living in the wilderness. During these tours, it’s crucial to continuously monitor temperatures of the engine, axles, and transmission, as well as tank levels.
